West Glacier NP, MT to Banff, Alberta Canada 25 July 2005 375 Miles
This was a fun drive. Theresa short cut turned out to be a dirt road. The dirt road was north of Rt 2 where it turned North before Del Bonita. Not the whole road but about 10 miles or so. It was fun. Stopped in Lethbridge and visited the gardens.
Dubois, WY to Teton NP, WY (Lizzard Creek) 73 Miles 13 July 2005
This was an easy day. We stopped at a couple camp sites, selected Lizzard Creek. Had views of Jackson Lake. Very pretty. Dry Camping. Spent 2 nights. Bugs weren't bad at all. Did a raft trip. Road our bikes. Great views. See pictures.
This was done on secondary roads. Stopped at Thermopolis they have hot spings. Very nice. The problem is that the springs were 104 and the temp was 98. So it was from hot to hot. Had the oil changed at Riverton WalMart. Did some grocery shopping. Good roads and nice scenery.
Black Hills Area (Mt Rushmore, Custer State Park, Crazy Horse Monument)
95 Miles
This was to be our down day. We needed the rest. Good night sleep. Cleaned up the truck and camper. In the afternoon we went to Mt. Rushmore. (#4) Then to Custer State Park (#6, 7, 8) Saw wild Buffalo, mules, prairy dogs and deer. The roads and views are incredable. Crazy Horse monument was very cool at night, laser light show and presentation.

Camp America was very nice. Woke up had plenty of hot water. Great people there. Weather looked bad going east. Big storm. Good thing we went as far as we did. We were just on the edge of the storm. Good wind to keep the bugs down. Didn't get much sleep. Rebuilding computer.
Kinda long and boring drive on highway. Planned to stay at Ellesworth AFB, but it didn't work out. So stayed at RJBRS. It was a very nice place. No internet. Quiet and Close to everything. Needed down time. Covered lots of miles.

Great Camping at MPSP. Heard our first coyotes. Saw racoons and bats. Site 114 is very nice and sorta private. Cost was only $18. What a beautiful country.
